"Spending money on Metrolink was the top item on the transportation budget wish list for 32.1 percent of the members of a Los Angeles County focus group -- double the 15 percent who wanted to spend money on freeway improvements... increased air pollution and water pollution trailed traffic by just a few percentage points... The survey was commissioned by Southern California Compass , a two-year program that will use the results as it tackles issues of future growth in the region."
