The city of Edmonds, located to the north of Seattle, is putting the finishing touches on a plan that would increase heights in an urban district along State Route 99.
"Edmonds is actively planning land use changes for its stretch of SR-99," reports Stephen Fesler. The city has already issued a Final Environmental Impact Statement in support of the planned land use and development changes.
"Within the area, Edmonds has been evaluating zoning changes that would consolidate a patchwork of zoning down to one primary zone and be paired with consistent development regulations," adds Fesler.
The article includes a lot more detail about the proposed changes, including height increases for General Commercial, Community Commercial, and Multifamily zones.
