A town of about 20,000 people, located on the coast of Maine, and home to Bowdoin College has completed a new zoning code.

Chris Chase reports: "After three-and-a-half years, over 100 public meetings, thousands of hours of work, and six separate drafts, Brunswick’s new zoning ordinance was approved unanimously by town council at the Aug. 7 regular meeting."
"The work of the Zoning Ordinance Rewrite Committee, the new ordinances are intended to simplify Brunswick’s zoning districts and clarify rules for landowners," adds Chase. "Previously, Brunswick’s zoning ordinance included more districts than some major cities."
The article includes a lot more about the goals and detail of Brunswick's new zoning code.
