The Covington by the Park development proposal is back. The developer has revised previously stalled plans for a conservation subdivision on Louisville's eastern edge.

A conservation subdivision proposed in Louisville is back from the dead, after developer Long Run Creek Properties proposed a revised version of a proposal that would develop nearly 300 acres near the Parklands at Floyds Fork, opened in 2016.
The revised proposal would add a conservation subdivision with 833 residential lots on 172 acres and neighborhood retail center on 19 acres. "Long Run Creek Properties hopes to sell 165 of those open spaces acres to the Future Fund Land Trust, which would ensure that they remain undeveloped," according to Bowling.
The project's proximity to the Parklands at Floyds Fork has raised flags in the past, such as when the developer began removing trees from the property in 2016. Sprawl around Floyds Fork is a hot button item in a more general sense for the region, as well.
