"The event is sponsored by the Minnesota chapter of the American Institute of Architects...The "Search for Shelter" charette was once part of a national movement that was launched in the early 1980s by the late St. Paul architect Lou Lundgren. On one fall weekend in 1987, 25 committees held charettes around the country. Minnesota's is the only one still at work."
