Neighbors of the manufacturing plant large enough to hold 11 Lambeau Fields are wary of changes to their rural surroundings in Wisconsin.

The Taiwanese firm Foxconn is developing a liquid crystal display manufacturing plant on 1,200 acres in the southeastern Wisconsin village of Mount Pleasant. Although there is significant support for the project, some neighbors in the area are hesitant, citing changes to the village's rural character with the influx of construction traffic and future workers.
The village was incorporated recently, in 2003, but has seen significant development in some portions of its 34 square mile area. Those most concerned are either immediate neighbors or those who are likely to be offered a buyout for their property. Others question whether Foxconn will deliver on its promises to create employment.
The factory will receive $3 billion in state incentives and is expected to employ 10,400 people by the year 2027.
