Sales of million-dollar homes rose 25 percent nationwide in June—the biggest bump in four years, according to Realtor.com. The biggest change occurred in the Northeastern and West Coast markets, along with Florida.
The new report attributes the trend both to an increase in consumers' ability to pay—thanks in part to the growth high-paying jobs—as well as continuously rising housing costs pushing more and more homes above a million dollars.
