The processes for planning and permitting development and construction projects are moving online. A Southern California county provides the latest example.

The County of San Bernardino in Southern California has launched an online permitting system called the EZ Online Permitting system to make it more convenient for homeowners and professional builders to submit, track, and monitor projects.
"EZ Online Permitting allows users to submit applications, pay fees and upload plans all in one place," according to the release. "Applicants can monitor the progress and cost of projects in real time from anywhere the internet can be accessed."
