The Transbay Transit Center, opened for a brief stint in the latter half of 2018 before structural flaws were discovered, won't be open to the public again anytime soon.

"The damaged Transbay Transit Center — already shut down more than four months — won’t welcome back buses, passengers and parkgoers until at least June," reports Michael Cabanatuan.
The Transbay Joint Powers Authority was expected to release a construction schedule for repairs on two cracked steel girders that support the building.
"Repairs are expected to be completed the first week of June. But an independent review committee of engineers and welding experts could determine that inspections or repairs are needed elsewhere in the structure, which would further delay the reopening," reports Cabanatuan, sharing information from Transbay Joint Powers Authority officials before the release of the schedule.
The Transbay Transit Center, officially known as the Salesforce Transit center, opened to the public on August 11, only to shut down before the end of September after the cracks were discovered.
