A comic strip by Sim Mau, created for the Nib, introduces the singular community known as Right 2 Dream Too (R2Dt), a homeless community in Portland, Oregon providing shelter to 100 people every night since its inception in 2011.

As noted from the outset by Mau, R2DT is created by and for homeless people, with a democratic process for decision-making. Mau explores the history of the community, the urban context of homelessness in the city, the rules for living in the community, some of the occupants and volunteers who make the community thrive, and some of the occupants who have benefitted from the community's unique approach to support.
