D.C. Planning Director Andre Trueblood is leaving the helm of the District's Office of Planning.

Washington D.C. Planning Director Andrew Trueblood will step down from the position at the end of the year, after three years leading the D.C. Office of Planning, with a list of accomplishments that includes the approval of significant amendments to the D.C. Comprehensive Plan.

The news about the leadership change in the nation's capital is reported by Alex Koma in a paywalled article for the Washington Business Journal. Koma also announced the news on Twitter, with more coommentary about Trueblood's time as planning director in the responses.

At the time of Trueblood's hire by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, Trueblood was introduced to the larger public as one of the first Millennials to be hired to the position of planning director in a major U.S. city.
