A 20-year old Chicago man has been arrested by federal agents for imitating transit officials and repeatedly interfering with Chicago Transit Authority communications.
Apparently it was Marcel Carter's use of "improper" terminology that clued officials into the man's imposter status.
"According to a criminal complaint, his transmissions began in June 2008, and in June and July of this year he allegedly made 300 unauthorized transmissions.
Carter allegedly gave false directions to trains, sometimes imitating workers at the CTA control center."
