The Council of Edmonton, Alberta is considering allowing liquor advertisements on their buses, which a report estimates could bring in an extra $1 million in revenue.
Edmonton is actually the only city in Canada to have banned liquor and cigarette ads on buses, back in 1982. The Council is considering repealing the ad for the increased income.
"The ads would still be subject to strict provincial rules against targeting minors, encouraging binge drinking, or drinking-and-driving."
