The North Dakota House of Representatives rejected a law designed to make it easier for drivers to run over protestors.

So much for HB 1203 in North Dakota. The law, proposed by Rep. Keith Kempenich (R-Bowman), attracted recent attention because it "would not hold motorists liable for negligently running over someone obstructing a roadway," according to Justin Boggs in a January article.
More specifically, and more perniciously, according to many observers, the bill would have given drivers license to run over protestors of the Dakota Access Pipeline.
A post on the OpenVote News website catches up the goings on of the proposed law, and reports that after amendments and public outcry, the bill did not have the votes to pass the North Dakota House of Representatives.
