L.A. County's transit agency runs a bikeshare program that so far has only been implemented in Downtown Los Angeles. The suburban city of Pasadena, however, will soon be a transit-oriented addition to the system.

"Metro will open 31 bike-share kiosks in the city of Pasadena on July 14," reports Steve Scauzillo. "Pasadena is the second city in the county to participate in the bike-share program organized by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority or Metro."
The Metro Bike program so far has only hit the streets in Downtown Los Angeles, launching in July 2016. After Pasadena, Metro Bike Share will be rolling out in Venice and the Port of Los Angeles.
Pasadena will be gaining about 370 bikes, with kiosks at many of Pasadena's most popular attractions as well as the city's five light rail station's, on the Metro Gold Line. According to Scauzillo, the city will still have a lot of work left to do in building out its planned bicycle network when the Metro Bike Share is made available to the public.
