"Hubway, the popular bike-sharing system in the Boston area, is changing its name as part of a deal with the state's largest health insurer," reports David L. Harris.

"Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts said…the bike-sharing system will have a new name and launch a major expansion as part of the new partnership, which includes the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, New York-based bike-share operator Motivate International Inc., and the cities of Boston, Cambridge, Brookline and Somerville," adds Harris.

The new name of the bikeshare: Blue Bikes.
